Geoform 102
The GEOFORM 102 is a 2-in-1 benchtop instrument that cuts and laps your samples down to 30 microns, or less, depending on the hardness of the material. The GEOFORM 102 has 2 functions: cutting and honing:
- Cutting module: the sample is fixed on a support and can be cut to a thickness of around 0.5mm. Water cooling prevents deformation during cutting.
- Honing module: designed for high-precision results. A vacuum pump keeps the glass slide fixed to the support during the lapping process. An integrated digital micrometer guarantees accuracy to within 2 microns. The diamond cutting disc and grinding wheel are aligned on the same axis, guaranteeing high-precision results.
